Our Story
How Tech Tips Began
Tech Tips was founded in 2023 by Shaan Chawhan, a student who saw a need for technology assistance among seniors. Shaan’s experience helping his own grandparents with tech issues revealed a larger problem—many seniors lack easy access to support for their technology needs. Not every senior citizen has a younger person in their life to help them. This insight sparked the idea to create a program that not only helps seniors but also provides students with an opportunity to give back to their community.
About Shaan
Shaan Chawhan is currently a junior at Brooklyn Technical High School in New York City, where he majors in aerospace engineering. He has a strong interest in finance and business, always looking to expand his knowledge in both fields. Outside of academics, Shaan holds a black belt in mixed martial arts, plays piano, and is currently learning guitar.
